About Me

My photo
Stay at home mommy that works 7 days a week slaving for my children. I'm their chauffeur, meal preparer, major care taker and anything else they decide they need. For those who don't know, being a mommy is a full time job, at times a very rewarding job, not always though. When the rugrats are into something there not supposed to be every two minutes, those are the days you don't enjoy. But I love them, when their not being little devils. Well sometimes even then.

Recent happenings

I have got to blog more, maybe it would relieve some stress. So since I haven't blogged in while here's what's been going on with us. We've moved back home to the west side of Washington state where we are enjoying life. It's nice to be closer to family but it is sucking on our gas bill. We live in McCleary with my in-laws and all my family live in Lacey/Olympia area and Rochester. So you can imagine going to visit a lot really sucks on the gas when the only thing you drive is a mini van that gets 18 miles to the gallon.

Another new thing, we traded in our beloved Focus and mini van for a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan.

While this beauty of a car is so wonderful for our family, it does suck on the gas mileage, and upped our car payment by a hundred dollars a month, but so far it has been worth the sacrifice. Only having one car sucks but hopefully here soon David can get his Falcon fixed so he'll at least have a commuter car for work. For those who didn't know we had a 2006 Ford Focus and a 1998 Ford Windstar. Both were good cars for us but this new van has more features than those two cars combined. And it really has been much better for our little family. Plus, it has the number one thing I've always wanted in a van, dual sliding doors. And they open with a push of the button on the remote. Albeit it would be nicer to have one of the ones that have a sensor and open when your withing like 5 feet of it or whatever, but this one will do for now. And hopefully we're done trading up cars for a few years. We've been average getting a new car about every two years since we got married. Hopefully we can hang to this one long enough to pay it off. It would be nice to own a car scott clean that wasn't more than 10 years old.

So the girls have had birthdays this year. Amara just turned 4 a week and half ago and Ilyana turned 2 this past July. And she is such an imp, that's my sister's nick name for her, and my mom calls her Buddha belly. She's got a little pudge of a belly and loves to show it off.

Somehow I have failed to find any pics of Ilyana's birthday this year. And for the life of me cannot remember what we did. I'm feeling horrible that I cannot remember what we did for her birthday this year. Well hopefully later I will find some pics and can get them up, but for now this is the best I can do.

The girls are doing really well, developing good. Both just had doctor's appointments. Ilyana is 27.6 lbs and is 35 1/2 inches tall. Amara is 38.7 lbs I think and either 39 or 39 1/2 inches tall. So their both growing good. Amara has reached a point where she's too tall for one of her car seats so she now has to ride with a shoulder belt, which makes her feel like a big girl so it's fun for her, a little nerve wracking for mommy but we're dealing with it.

I have since dropped out of school, I was doing online through WSU this past spring and summer. I was studying humanities with a focus in English. David switched to online this past spring and switched his major to Business Administration. Right now he's working part time at the Shelton Wal-Mart in the Garden Center and is really enjoying it, which is good, his past jobs have been rather boring. Hopefully next Fall I can start school again, maybe at SPSCC.

We've decided we are ready for another baby. Although there are some things standing in our way. I have some health issues we need to address first and losing weight is a priority on both our lists right now. We were going to start trying and had decided to give up on weight loss at the time, but then my health issues came up and I figured since I'm waiting for that to be taken care of I might as well try and lose some weight while I'm at it. David has already lost some from working. He's on his feet all day so it's no wonder. He's got an opportunity this week to work 3 extra days days for 10 hour shifts so that will help some more and a bigger pay check. He was originally working through Monday and having Tuesday through Friday off. Now it looks like he may have tomorrow and Sunday off and working Monday through Thursday from 5-3. Which initially will suck but at least he'll still have Halloween off, I'm sorry no he won't but he'll be off at 3 so he can still come trick or treating with us, yay! We got costumes for the girls already. Amara is being Ariel from the Little Mermaid and Ilyana is being a devilina, devil with a tutu.

So Happy Halloween to everyone, hope you all have a good one, I'll post again soon!

Snow!

Well we've got snow again today. So I won't be driving myself to work.

So things are going pretty good for us. Found out how much our tax return will be, unfortunately we have to use most of it to pay off credit cards. And we can't file yet because we have to apply for a new social security card for Ilyana cause we can't find it. We turned the house upside down trying to find it and we couldn't. So first we had to send in for her birth certificate, which we are still waiting on, then we can take that and apply for a new social security card. What a pain. Grrrr. So frustrating.

So David is in his second semester of school and sadly has already fallen a little behind. The move kind of threw us out of whack. But we are slowly getting back on track. And slowly getting our house organized.

I've been working a few days a week cleaning house for a women in the ward and her neighbor. I'm hoping to start community college this fall and will hopefully be able to transfer to WSU and major in English. I was reading up on Stephenie Meyer the other night and found out that she is also LDS and that her book Twilight was based off of a dream she had. So I got to thinking 'if she can get a best selling book from a dream, why can't I?' I have a few dreams that I've wanted to make into stories. I'm not saying I'm going to be a best selling author but at least I will enjoy what I'm with my life and you never know if your going to good at something unless you try.

Well we are planning a trip home next month for spring break and I can't wait. I so need a vacation. And we haven't a decent visit home since we came here. It's all been 1 or 2 day trips. This time we get a whole week. Woo hoo! Can't wait to see everyone. Well I'll blog more later. Later all.

New with us

Hey there everyone. Well we are living in Pullman, WA now. David is attending WSU majoring in computer science. I'm still studying medical transcription trying to get my classes done before my time runs out so I don't have to purchase another extension.

The girl's are doing great. Amara just turned 2 and Ilyana is just about 4 months and finally sleeping through the night. We've started trying to potty train Amara, it's a rough go right now but we'll just have to be persistent. We've also started some speech therapy for her in hopes to get her talking so we can understand her. Right now she just points and say "ah" when she wants something, or drags to where she wants. We have an appointment on Tuesday to get Ilyana's hearing aids. She's got a little bit of a hearing loss in both ears so we are doing the hearing aids so she has the best chance possible to develop to her full potential.

Things are a little rough for us right now, but we are trying to think of ways to make it better. We'll just keep paying our tithing and figure out some way to get out of this rut.

Holidays are coming up and we'll probably be spending Thanksgiving with David's sister Amy up in Spokane. And hopefully be spending Christmas back West with our families. Depends on how bad the pass is this year. Well that's all for now, I'll blog more later.

New with us

Well I'm a serious slacker. I'm really bad about blogging. Pretty good about updating Facebook but suck at blogging.

So a lot has happened in the last 6 months. David got out of the Marines, we're living with his parents in McCleary until we leave next month for Pullman for him to attend WSU, I had my baby, Ilyana Hope born July 8th at 2:25 p.m. weighing 5 lbs 13 oz and 17 inches long. We're slowly adjusting to having 2 children, it's a little tough right now with the sleepless nights and all, but I know it will get better. Ilyana is having a tough time right now during the night but I know it won't be that way forever.

I'm still doing classes for medical transcription. It's been on a stand still lately with me being so exhausted from the pregnancy and now the new baby. But again, it will get better. Well not much else going on with us. So later.

Hey everyone. Well I leave for home on Saturday. And I pick up my sister in law from the airport on Thursday. She's coming to fly back with me so I have some help with Amara.

Well some new things have happened. We got a big screen HDTV a Blue-ray player and a laptop. Oh and I also got a new cell phone. The Samsung Moment. It's touchscreen. It was a little hard and annoying to get used to at first but I'm getting the hang of it. It's got tons of cool features. The laptop we got mostly for me so I would have a way to do work if we're traveling and cause I've wanted one for forever.

Well enough about that. Oh and for anyone who has not watched an HDTV it's sooo cool. We turned on Heroes from Netflix the night we got, it was amazing!

Well not much going on. Trying to get laundry and some packing done today. So far so good.

Moving

So things have happened that is suddenly thrusting me into a rush to pack up as much of the house as possible as soon as possible. David just found out yesterday that he is being sent to the Olympics. Well actually he is being sent to Washington to be on standby at Whidbey Island for the Olympics. And he leaves February 3rd. I have a doctor's appointment that day. And my mom needs me here to have someone to drive her back from the hospital after her surgery, whenever that may be. So I'm going home sooner than originally planned. So much to plan and so little time. But we are going to be flying my sister in law over here to fly home with me so I have some help with Amara and the luggage.

So I'm coming home soon just don't know how soon. My mom is calling the Doctor on Monday to find out what's going on. So hopefully we'll know soon. This all crazy and frustrating.

Yada yada yada

Well I was bored and on the computer so I figured I'd post a blog.

Not much new. Well I'm pregnant. But anyone who reads this already knows that. So I'm 13 weeks now. Had my first appointment and ultrasound a week ago. We got hear the heartbeat as well. And thank goodness, there's only one baby in there. Phew! :)

Well let's see. Oh I'm losing weight instead of gaining it. But I have had a lot of, well I don't think I want to say that cause it would just gross you all out so I'll let you figure it out. Good news is it's gone now and hopefully I won't lose to much more weight. After all, I don't want to harm the baby.

So I don't remember what I've posted in past blogs so I'll just give you all an update of what's going on with my and my fam. So I'm in medical transcription classes again. But this is a much better school and one I'm sure you've all heard of, Career Step. I feel like I'm in a nursing class. Let's see, Amara has been walking for almost 2 months now. She's eating really well too. David will be out of the Marines soon, if they don't kick him out first for his weight problem. Long story, rather not go into it. I will be going back to Washington next month. We are leaving February 17th to take me home. David will be driving me and Amara home and then flying back to Maryland for the remainder of his time, whatever that may be. I'm going to try and get as much packing done as I can before I leave. Of course it would help if I wasn't so tired all the time. And if my daughter would stop waking me up at 6 o'clock in the morning. The headaches of being a parent. I'm sure all parents could agree with me right? If not then you suck. Not really, I still love you all.

Well that's about all that's new. Till next time.

Here's an updated picture of our family.
